  • Antonios Kouroutakis is a lawyer specialised in public law. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law, from Democritus University of Thrace (Greece), a Master of Laws (LL.M) from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Law School (USA) and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from the University of Oxford (UK). He has also taught a variety of law courses and conducted research as a postdoctoral fellow at the City University of Hong Kong (China), at the Free University of Berlin (Germany) and at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece).

    Antonios’s research interests lie mainly in the field of constitutional and administrative law. In particular, Antonios is interested in the concept of separation of powers, rule of law, emergency legislation, immigration law and regulation of new technologies; he has published widely on these topics in international and peer reviewed journals, while his work on the constitutional value of sunset clauses and on the constitution of Somalia is cited in numerous reports

  • Cristina Barettini
    Cristina Barettini

    Dr. Cristina Barettini is Lecturer in European Union Law and Italian Private Law at the Faculty of Business and Economics of the University of Turin (Italy), where she also manages the International Relations.
    She specializes in EU Consumer Law and teaches in international Master courses at the ESCP-EAP and the Institute of European Studies in Turin, as well as the Business School of Turin University. She has taught extensively abroad as a visiting professor in Eastern Europe, the United States, Africa and Taiwan.
    Dr. Barettini is the author of several publications in English and Italian on Consumer Law, Human Rights and Ethical Issues and coordinates the course on “Migration – Challenges and Opportunities for Europe” by the International Training Centre of the ILO, the International and European Forum of Migration Research and the Institute of European Studies of Turin University.
