CAPES extends deadline for selection of doctoral candidates for sandwich PhD programs in Brazil

CAPES has extended the application deadline for the selection of doctoral candidates for the Post-Graduate Student Exchange Program (PEC-PG). The call was published by FGV Direito SP and offers two sandwich PhD scholarships in Brazil, with a duration of six to ten months.

Eligible applicants are foreign doctoral candidates from countries participating in the CAPES PEC-PG program who do not hold Brazilian nationality or dual Brazilian nationality, reside abroad, and have completed at least one academic year of their PhD by the application deadline. The sandwich PhD period in Brazil will start in August 2026.

Applications are open until January 16.
