Project manager and project leader at the Center for Education and Research in Innovation, FGV Direito SP. PhD in Science and Technology Policy from the University of Campinas (Unicamp) (2011-2015) with a PhD internship at SPRU - Science Policy Research Unit (2013-2014), University of Sussex, England. M. A. in Science and Culture Communication, from the Laboratory of Advanced Studies in Journalism (Labjor), Unicamp (2009-2011). Bachelor in Social Communication - with a degree in Journalism, from the Federal University of Viçosa (2009). Between 2015 and 2018, she took part in the activities of the Virtual Institute for Responsible Innovation (VIRI) based at Arizona State University and she is currently part of the Research Group on Artificial Intelligence and Inclusion organized by the Institute of Technology and Society (ITS). Ana also works as a collaborating researcher in the Department of Science and Technology Policy of the University of Campinas (DPCT/IG/Unicamp) and as a reviewer in several national publications dedicated to science, technology and society such as the Brazilian Journal of Innovation and Ambiente & Sociedade. Her research interests cover sociology of risk, governance of emerging technologies, and public engagement in sociotechnical controversies in the Global South. Currently, she coordinates and develops research in the interface of technology, law, innovation and society (e.g. data protection and privacy laws, innovation policy, among others).
