Bruno Bastos Becker
Bruno Bastos Becker holds a Ph.D. from the University of São Paulo (USP/Brazil), LL.M degree from Yale Law School, and LL.B (Law) from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS/Brazil) with an exchange period at the Justus Liebig Universiät Giessen/Germany with a CAPES/DAAD scholarship. He is Professor of Law at Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV) Law School in São Paulo, as well as in-house lawyer at Abbott Laboratories. His scholarship examines problems in institutional investors, investment funds, antitrust and law and economics. Prior to joining FGV, he was a Professor at São Judas Tadeu University, where he taught Economic Law and Law of Obligations, as well as a corporate associate at Barbosa Müssnich Aragão Advogados in the antitrust practice. Bruno was also a researcher at the Center for Law, Economics and Governance at FGV Direito SP and at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law in Hamburg.
