Dismissal of family power and exercise of motherhood by women in prison

This is an empirical research on the processing of actions for dismissal of family power, involving women in prison in the city of São Paulo. The research goals include: i) describing and understanding the trajectory of the process of dismissal of family power; ii) identifying, systematizing, and analyzing the arguments used by judges of the São Paulo Court of Appeals (TJSP) in the trials that discuss keeping the sentences that deprived imprisoned mothers of the family power. The project adopts quantitative and qualitative research for examining  TJSP judgments.
