The project seeks to advance the examination of the legal outlines of companies, as well as their legal personality, regarding the theoretical economic foundations. There are several economic theories of the company, but there are relevant tensions between them. On the other hand, the economic analysis of legal personality takes care exclusively of a legal attribute, the separation of assets, neglecting other legal aspects and their economic relevance. Here, the aim is to investigate the important function of the regulatory separation provided by personification, as well as the economic function of regulatory disregard concerning controlling shareholders.
