Gutachtenstil is a method of solving cases, widely practiced since ancient times in the German tradition. It allows the jurist to see theory as an instrument for the solution of concrete conflicts, acquiring a solid basis for further criticism and even elaboration of new solutions. The method was included in FGV Sao Paulo Law School courses in 2015 by Professor Heloisa Estellita, in partnership with Professor Luís Greco's Chair, at Humboldt University of Berlin. In addition to using the method in all courses taught by the group's teachers, two intensive courses were held at the school, one with Professor Luís Greco (2015) and the other with Professor Alaor Leite (2019). Currently, the method is taught every six months by Guilherme Goes, a PhD candidate at Humboldt Universität Zu Berlin, in fortnightly meetings.
