The Scientific Initiation Program (PIC) is open to students from FGV Sao Paulo Law School as well as to other higher education Brazilian institutions. Its goal is to identify young scholars with scientific potential, and train them from an early stage as researchers of excellence in various legal topics.
In general, institutions provide PIC scholarships. From 2010 to 2020, the program also received funding from CNPq.
Each institution awards scientific initiation scholarships upon the assessment of research projects presented during the first academic semester of each year. The research usually lasts one year, and reports are available to the public free of charge, on FGV Scientific Initiation website and FGV Digital Library.
