O Núcleo de Direito e Economia Política (Nudep) da FGV Direito SP, em parceria com o Grupo Direito e Políticas Públicas da Faculdade de Direito da USP, convida a todas e todos para workshop sobre Direito e Economia Política na América Latina, a ser realizado nos dias 24 e 25 de julho de 2023 em São Paulo. O workshop é organizado conjuntamente por acadêmicos de Law and Political Economy (LPE) na região e pela Rede de Pesquisa Colaborativa (CRN) 55 da Law & Society Association sobre Direito e Economia Política.
O objetivo do workshop é apoiar o desenvolvimento da rede de Direito e Economia Política, promovendo seus debates teóricos e metodológicos na América Latina. Os estudos de LPE exploram como o direito, a economia e a política são mutuamente constitutivos, em uma interação entre regras, atores e seus interesses. Embora o LPE seja um campo de pesquisa crescimento – abrangendo trabalhos em estudos sociojurídicos, estudos de gênero, sociologia econômica, estudos de desenvolvimento, economia política e economia heterodoxa, entre outros –, a pesquisa emergente e o ensino sobre o assunto têm sido amplamente centrados na produção acadêmica dos EUA e, mais recentemente, na Europa.
O workshop oferece um espaço para colaboração e troca de experiências entre acadêmicos de LPE da América Latina para expandir o alcance geográfico e intelectual da pesquisa e dos estudos sobre o LPE. Questões de relevância incluem: os debates teóricos sobre o LPE nos EUA fazem sentido no contexto latino-americano? De que forma (por exemplo, a partir de uma perspectiva analítica e/ou metodológica) os estudos sobre LPE podem contribuir para o estudo de áreas substantivas que fazem parte da agenda de pesquisa de acadêmicos latino-americanos? A quais linhagens teóricas e metodológicas o campo se filia em uma perspectiva do Sul Global? Quais políticas e reformas os estudos de LPE podem produzir?
O workshop será realizado em inglês e não haverá tradução simultânea.
